Program for combating gender based violence (GBV)

Program for combating gender based violence (GBV), which has begun developing since 1999, had positively and sustainably influenced in breaking the silence on violence especially in the family. This, besides other things, encouraged people to talk about gender based violence and also raise their awareness of its consequences in family cell, especially children.
In our community there was a common perception that family violence is a fringe phenomenon, insignificant, marginal. But it was not so, because this was an important fundamental family and social problem.
With its work Women's Wellness Center has achieved that the fight against gender based violence to be a very intensely sharp, relevant, open and public issue, almost as an integral part of our work and life.
